I'm a total geek, so I made an Excel sheet with 6 columns (date, weight in kg, weight in lbs, weight in st, BMI, and % of excess weight lost, oh and the weight and BMI columns are color coded to automatically make the numbers red, orange or green, depending on current BMI, unfortunately, I'm still stuck with red so far...) and corresponding graphs. I know, it's a bit ridiculous, because the graphs all pretty much look the same (except the % one - that one goes up instead of down), but okay, that's just me… and the 3 different weight columns are explained thus: I live in metric country, so I know how much a kg is, lbs go down faster and st are low to begin with ;-) I left the Excel file on my computer desktop so I always see it when I get on the computer (I even thought about using it as wallpaper, but that might be a bit depressing). I weigh myself every Tuesday before breakfast and so far, I've lost 14 lbs in 13 weeks. Still have a loong way to go, though. I've had some falling off the wagon incidents, especially now with Christmas coming up and my favourite candy back in stores, plus, my boyfriend likes junk food and we end up at McD, BK or Subway at least once a week and I'm not always strong enough to order a salad and water… Anyway, every time, I see the graphs go up again and even if it's just by 200 grams, my vigor is renewed and next week the graph goes back down.I also once had a big sheet of graph paper hanging inside my wardrobe where I charted my weight, but that wasn't private enough for me - I'm very self-conscious about my weight, I don't want people to see how much it is, so the Excel sheet is better for me.

Annalyn, it helps me to keep a chart somewhere I see it and enter my weight on a specific date.
I’m a total geek, so I made an Excel sheet with 6 columns (date, weight in kg, weight in lbs, weight in st, BMI, and % of excess weight lost, oh and the weight and BMI columns are color coded to automatically make the numbers red, orange or green, depending on current BMI, unfortunately, I’m still stuck with red so far…) and corresponding graphs. May I make a suggestion? If you don't have weights, get some good strength bands for resistance. As an added bonus, you can take them with you where ever you go. Can't do that with weights.

Good tips. May I make a suggestion? If you don’t have weights, get some good strength bands for resistance.
